I spent Saturday with the lovely Kate and Owain and their family and friends as they tied the knot at Orchardleigh Estate. I met Owain at the church in Lullington, where he awaited his bride; with only 10 minutes to go before her arrival we were also waiting on the vicar. . ! He arrived just before Kate, only to leave again as he had forgot the registers! So when Kate arrived we had a bit of a wait, a bit more of a wait and some more. Thank goodness Kate was super relaxed about it all but it great to finally get the ceremony underway around 25 minutes later than planned! I loved the hymn choices; lots that most of us can remember from school which meant everyone could join in and have a giggle.
With the weather being so pleasant we headed outside after the ceremony for a ton of confetti throwing and into the car for the short picturesque drive to the stunning Orchardleigh. With drinks and canapes on arrival everyone mingled outside and enjoyed the beautiful views before dinner was served in the dining room. After some great speeches and lots of football banter I caught Kate and Owain going for a little walk for some fresh air as the sunset; I thought I had gone unnoticed until they spotted me as they walked back! To finished off this incredible day the newlyweds had planned a firework display as a surprise for their guests which was brilliant!
A huge thank you to the new Mr and Mrs Davies, I loved sharing your day with you! Here are just a few images from your wonderful day.
