2018 Highlights

Published on 2nd January 2019

So its a New Year which can only mean one thing…. its highlights time!

I can’t quite believe 2018 is over with; its gone by in a flash! As I have been on maternity leave for the last 3 months my 2018 weddings seem like forever ago, so its been wonderful to go back over the images and remind myself what an incredible year its been! I captured soooo many amazing weddings and more importantly had a blast doing so. I always get asked if I have ‘bridezilla’s’; my answer is always no. My clients are truly the loveliest of people, they welcome me into their families, into their inner circle and let me document their raw emotions. This year in particular while being pregnant (especially in July in the killer heat) I was taken care of so well, my brides ensured I was hydrated, fed and generally cared for which makes me feel so loved. It shows that even on the most important day of their lives they are thinking of others; so yes its true, I actually have THE best brides in the world.

This year has given me some great wedding memories; from the vicar at Owian and Kate’s wedding forgetting the registers and having to drive home to get them (delaying the wedding) to Brad marrying his bestman when signing the register… seriously some of these vicars need to retire! I will never forget the madness when Easyjet cancelled my flight for the wedding of Olivia and Ash in Marbella; new levels of stress were reached that day but thank goodness we managed to get out there in time and what an epic day it was (not forgetting the pool party the following day!)

Without this sounding like I am accepting an award; I also want to thank the venues that continue to support me as well as suppliers; it means sooooo much. Also again to my clients of 2018 but also past years who continue to recommend me to everyone; it truly means the world to me. Also to my wonderful husband Chris for being there, especially after every wedding to rub my fat pregnant feet!

Each wedding has been full of laughter and love which is my passion to capture, so take a few minutes to have a look at what has been an epic year… this is truly just a snapshot of the thousands of images recorded in 2018.

Again I can’t thank my 2018 couples enough, thank you, thank you, thank you! You have made this year one to remember. Here’s to 2019 weddings and not carrying a baby bump this time! Happy New Year, love Jodie x
