I was so excited to have my first Christmas Wedding; for some reason I find they have an extra bit of excitement to them! On Saturday I spent the day capturing the wedding of Jade and Brad at the stunning King Weston House in Bristol. The morning started at their home in Weston where Jade and her 3 bridesmaids and Mum got ready. When I went up to photograph Jade’s dress I totally fell in love! When I got married there was hardly any dresses with sleeves, so to see this beautiful lace gown from Rookery Bridal, well I just couldn’t wait to see it on her! On arrival at King Weston House all the guests were relaxing in the bar area before heading into the Portrait Gallery for the ceremony. Jade walked down the aisle on the arm of her Mum; looking incredible. After the ceremony everyone enjoyed celebratory drinks before we headed outside for a few family shots as well as confetti. Just as we had arranged the large group of everyone a local who was walking his dog started talking to me, it turned out to be Mark from DIY SOS; however Jade and Brad didn’t have a clue who he was and ended up having photos with him… still no idea as to who this ‘celebrity’ was! I desperately had to keep a straight face!
After dinner the speeches took place along with the cutting of the cake; the topper was Micky and Minnie Mouse so it’s by far my favourite cake of the year! Just before the evening guests arrived we braved the cold for some fun with sparklers along side some night time shots (always a plus of a winter wedding)! A massive thank you to the new Mr and Mrs Thomas and their families for making me feel so welcome, its always nice to have clients from recommendations of previous clients and their families! For now here is a sneak look; before you ask I left the one of Mark out… for now anyway!
