Saturday I was so pleased to be heading back to the beautiful Barley Wood in Wrington for the wedding of Nikki and Mike. I spent the morning with the bride and her sister Ellie, thanks to the playlist we spent most morning talking about Disney (my specialist subject) somehow the time flew and her Mum and the rest of the bridesmaids were on hand to help Nikki get dressed. Downstairs Mike nervously waited the entrance of his wife to be; both of them were worried about messing up as all couples are, so it was a great relief when their were announced husband and wife! The weather was lovely and mild for this time of year so outside guests enjoyed the celebratory drinks and this gave me the chance for some stunning autumnal shoots; especially of Nikki and Mike in amongst the trees. The speeches took place after dinner and following the cutting of the cake everyone gathered around the fire-pit to toast marshmallows and play with sparklers. It was wonderful to capture; this why I love winter weddings! For evening entertainment there was a Ceilidh provided by Bowreed; this is my absolute favourite type of first dance! It gets all guests up dancing and laughing as they try not to bump into each other as they master the steps and keep up with the caller! Thanks so much to the new Mr and Mrs Fitzpatrick for making me feel like part of the day, here are just a few images!
