First wedding of July and what a fantastic day for Katie and Matt! The day started at the beautiful Radford Villa where Katie and her Bridesmaids got ready, Tracy Pallari and Sasha Pallari were on hand for hair and makeup and the morning went perfectly, small panic as the florist’s van broke down but otherwise all went to plan. Katie told me that the Church doesn’t have a vicar so they called in one for their big day; he was lovely but easily confused. I reassured her that I’ve seen a few mishaps during wedding services and it cracks the tension; creating great memories to look back on and laugh at. Once Katie was dressed in her stunning gown from White Lace and Promises (loved this dress so much!) it was time to head for the Church where Matt awaited his bride. The ceremony started and all went well, until I noticed Katie didn’t get to say her vows! I could see the confusion on both of their faces, it was only after coming out of the church the question was asked… are we legally married? It was then made aware Katie had signed the register with her wrong name, so back in they went to resign (and to say the forgotten vows). Thank goodness Priston Mill was their venue of choice, nothing more could go wrong and it didn’t. Everyone enjoyed drinks and canapes outside the beautiful barn and soaked up the warm weather until sunset. It was such a great day and although parts went a little wrong in places (not forgetting the cake being dropped the day before hand as well) these two had smiles on their faces all day long. I say to all couples, you can plan everything to detail but as long as you get married and enjoy the day that’s all that matters and Katie and Matt did just that. A massive congrats to you both and have a wonderful, relaxing honeymoon!
