From the minute I walked into Emily’s parents house; Dee and Jon’s I knew the whole day was going to be relaxed fun and all about family. I wasn’t just the photographer, everyone called me Jodie and I was part of the family straight away (something that makes me smile). The whole morning went smoothly apart from when Dee tried to put her shoes on; after stubbing her little toe that morning it had swollen and we think it was actually broken! But a change of shoes solved the problem (not the pain) and it was off to the church. Daniel awaiting his bride at the beautiful St Mary’s in Chard, he managed to hold his emotions back as she walked in looking stunning in her lace gown from Wedding Elegance. After the ceremony we went outside for a handful of group shots and one of my favourites, the confetti! The rest of the day was held at Old Oak Farm in Langport; when Emily and Daniel booked me as their photographer they said how really relaxed and informal they wanted their day to be and this venue was the perfect setting! I loved the rustic bar hand made by the owner Andy and all the local produce put into picnic hampers for dinner. Weather wise it had been great until just before we went in for dinner; thunder had been raging all afternoon but now was the time for rain. Luckily it cleared and for the rest of the evening it stayed dry for ice cream and the party. A massive congrats to these two, truly a lovely couple and thanks again for letting me capture your day and be a part of your family.
