Finally! I have captured a Wedfest wedding! As a wedding photographer I do have a bucket list of weddings, venues, locations I hope to work at; a Wedfest was one of them! When first meeting Beccy and Simon I was blown away by their ideas and big plans, bringing it together with the help of the talented Haley from Forever and Always was a big job; it was more than I could of ever imagined! The couple officially got married legally on Friday which I also captured; this giving them the freedom to do as they wished on the Saturday. The Wedfest took place at Simon’s parents house, Iwood near Wrington; tipi’s were set up, lights, festival flags, signs, hay bales and more. The ceremony was held by the lake and taken by Craig their friend with a wicked sense of humour, the ceremony consisted of strange names, shots of Jagermeister (yes that’s right..) pebble signing and best of all a flash-mob followed by smoke flares! The whole day just kept giving as everyone settled down in the shade with their picnics. There was an ice cream van, pebble painting, festival wristbands, a treasure hut, a cinema, a photo booth, music, dancing and even a personal fly by with a message from Beccy to Simon! When the sun set everyone headed into the tipi’s for the live music after enjoying a yummy hog roast. Its far to say although it seems like a busy day, it was actually so relaxed and with a true festival vibe everyone did as they pleased and more importantly let go and had some good fun! An absolutely brilliant day I will never forget! A massive thank you to the new Mr and Mrs Lloyd, long may you continue to shake and put the freshness back!
